This project is intentionally evocative and not meant to be provocative.
You may find some of the pieces funny. You may find some of them disturbing. You may find it disturbing that you find some funny, or vice versa.
Artist’s note
Section titled Artist’s noteYour interaction with a piece is with the piece and yourself, not with me.
The pieces are by me, but they aren’t me.
The personal aspect of this project is that the creation of each piece was a moment of reflection. Some of those reflections made me acknowledge, sit with, and unpack my baggage around certain ideas, trying to make sense of the present experience and the more general experience.
(I’ll stop before I become an artist making statements.)
Gallery order
Section titled Gallery orderThe order of work in the gallery is based on popularity and title. Popularity is determined by the number of limited editions remaining and whether a design was commissioned.
When no remaining limited edition prints are available, the piece will be moved to the back of the gallery. The first piece to be moved to the back of the gallery will be the first piece in the back of the gallery, and so on.
In other words, you can help influence the presentation of work in the gallery.
Content warning
Section titled Content warningThis project uses language, text, and images designed to evoke a response and may include the following:
- Nudity and sexual themes.
- Death, suicide, and existential dread & crisis.
- Violence and tools of violence.
- Various social -isms, including ableism, ageism, sexism, and similar.
We do our best to allow you to opt-in to the more direct and blatant of those images. There is also no way for us to know all language, text, and imagery you might find disturbing.
Feel free to reach out if you believe one (or more) of the images should have the opt-in affordances applied.
Thank you. Now grab a dictionary and enjoy.
